Jean-Marie Machado is a pianist and a composer of Portuguese and Italian-Spanish origin. He creates music and plays tunes that he has re-arranged, travels eclectic musical worlds and all along gives a soul to melodies with the same grace. Sensitive and powerfully arrogant in the feelings and vibrant colours he comes up with.



The composer/pianist likes to organise original events and collaborates with artists of high repute among which we can mention a few - Paolo Frésu, Ricardo del Fra, Jacques Mahieux, Gary Valente, Nana Vasconcelos, Andy Sheppard, Dave Liebman, Jean-Marc Padovani, Antonio Placer, Martial Solal, Glenn Ferris, Laurent Dehors, Ramon Lopez, les frères Moutin, Jean-Philippe Viret, Paul Motian, Jean-François Jenny-Clark .



Today, more than ever, on the national and international scene with concerts in the biggest venues among which those of Germany, Italy, and Portugal, Jean-Marie Machado works with his group «DANZAS» whose first opus is Fiesta Nocturna that found its public at the Festival Banlieues Bleues and at the Park Floral of Paris. In March, 2012, Lagrima Latina will be released in Lannion; it will be the 3rd program of the band and Jean-Marie Machado, the musician who has grown in a diverse cultural environment, will share with us his love for the Mediterranean Sea
